Sequoia National Park is at the bottom of the Sierras--the mountains on the eastern side of California where Yosemite is. It's north of Sequoia. There are redwoods there, on the way up to Yosemite, and beginning a few hours north of San Francisco, primarily in "The Avenue of the Giants." Sequoia has the biggest, tho they killed a lot doing stuff like carving a road thru them for cars, etc. It was a big thing, post WW2. Driving thru redwood trees.
